Project overview
The cyclists and runners who use Strava’s app are a little nuts.
In 2015, they logged five activities per second, covering 4.5 billion kilometers—enough distance to travel from Earth to Neptune.
Working closely with Strava, Animade, and Stink Studio, a way was created for users to relive their best moments of the year, whether it was a few jogs with friends or something far more extreme (it was usually far more extreme).
Anyone who logged activities on Strava could create their own 60-second highlight film. A story framework and tone were designed to adapt dynamically to each person’s data.
Over 700,000 films were generated in the first week, each rendered in just a few seconds thanks to Stinkdigital’s RITA platform.
